How drugs and alcohol effects families, friends and local communities.
Does anyone actually ever think about the physical, mental and emotional pain that not only the person abusing substances feels but their family, friends and their local community?
If it's a teen that is getting into trouble for drugs and alcohol what impact are they making on the kids that look up to them? You have to wander though, what happened to make the person abusing substances do it? They don't just wake up and decide this, there has to be something that has pushed them over the edge. It effects families because they have to watch their loved one abuse the substance of their choice and their is nothing that they can do about it but beg them to get help that they may not be ready to get. It effects their friends when they have to sit their and watch and try to help them but they know that the person may not listen to them or lash out thinking they were put up to it. What about the parents in the local communities with young children? How are they supposed to watch when they start to question if their own child will turn out the same. How would they let their child/children out of the house when they see what some teenagers and other older people do with their free time and around where their children/child can see them in broad daylight? |
